SocialSchedular ("SocialSchedular", "we", or "the App") provides social media planning and publishing services to Shopify merchants. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you when you use our website or App.

Information We Collect

Shopify and account information

  • Your Shopify shop domain and basic account contact information.
  • Product information you choose to use when creating social posts.
  • Posts, schedules, media, captions, and other content you create in the App.

Google and YouTube user data

SocialSchedular uses YouTube API Services. We access Google and YouTube data only after you choose to connect a YouTube account and grant permission on Google's OAuth consent screen. Depending on the permissions you approve, we access and store:

  • OAuth access and refresh tokens needed to keep your YouTube connection active. We never receive or store your Google password.
  • Basic YouTube channel information, such as channel ID, channel name, handle, and profile image, so you can identify the connected channel.
  • Videos, titles, descriptions, scheduling choices, and related metadata that you select or create in SocialSchedular for upload to YouTube.
  • YouTube video IDs, publishing status, and aggregate statistics such as view, like, and comment counts for videos published through the App, when these are displayed in the Service.

How We Use Information

We use information only as needed to:

  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve SocialSchedular.
  • Connect and display the social accounts you authorize.
  • Create, schedule, and publish content you direct us to publish.
  • Show publishing history and available performance information.
  • Provide support and communicate with you about the Service.

SocialSchedular's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, sell it, allow humans to read it except with your affirmative agreement for support or security purposes, or use it to train generalized AI or machine-learning models.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information or Google user data. We share data only with:

  • Google and YouTube, when you direct SocialSchedular to connect an account or publish content.
  • Infrastructure and service providers that process data on our behalf only to operate, secure, and support the Service.
  • Authorities or other parties when required by law, necessary to protect rights and safety, or involved in a business transfer subject to this policy.

Data Storage, Protection, and Retention

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your data, including encrypted network connections, access controls, and server-side storage for OAuth credentials. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

  • Google OAuth tokens are retained only while your YouTube account remains connected and are deleted when you disconnect it, uninstall the App, or request deletion.
  • Data obtained from YouTube API Services is refreshed or deleted within 30 calendar days, unless a longer period is required by law.
  • Content and schedules you create in SocialSchedular are retained while your account is active or until you delete them. Operational backups are removed on their normal lifecycle after deletion.

Your Controls and Deletion Requests

You can remove SocialSchedular's access at any time by:

  • Disconnecting your YouTube channel from the SocialSchedular Accounts page.
  • Revoking access from your Google Account permissions.
  • Uninstalling the App from Shopify.

To request access, correction, export, or deletion of your information, email [email protected]. We will verify and process your request in accordance with applicable law.

Cookies and Logs

We may use cookies and similar technologies to maintain sessions and operate the Service. Server logs may include IP address, browser type, referring pages, and timestamps for reliability and security purposes. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete personal information we hold about you. Contact us to exercise these rights. We process requests in accordance with applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
